Edit images with Pixso AI

Use Pixso AI to edit an image already on the canvas. You can describe content to add, remove, or replace, or ask for changes to the background, colors, lighting, or overall style.

Identify the part to change and what should remain. For example: “Remove the person on the right and fill the area with the surrounding background. Keep the person on the left unchanged.”

Edit from the AI sidebar

  1. Select AI in the left sidebar of a design file.
  2. Switch to image mode.
  3. Select an object that contains an image on the canvas.
  4. Check that the selected object appears above the conversation input.
  5. Describe the edit and send the request.

The selected image provides the starting point. Your description tells AI which part to change and the effect you want.

Edit from the image actions

  1. Select an image element on the canvas.
  2. Open the image actions shown below the selection.
  3. Choose background removal or resolution enhancement for a direct operation on the canvas. For a more detailed edit, choose the conversation-based image editing action to open image mode.

Remove a background or improve resolution

Select the image layer and choose the relevant action below it. Background removal separates the subject from its background. Resolution enhancement processes the image to improve its resolution.

After background removal, check the edges around fine details such as hair, transparent objects, and small gaps. After enhancing resolution, view the image at the size you plan to use in the design.

Describe other image edits

Use a text request for changes such as replacing the background, changing the visual style, or modifying a specific part of the image. If you select an example prompt in image mode, edit its wording to match your image and intended result.

  • “Replace the dark background with a light gray background. Keep the product's shape and color.”
  • “Make the lighting softer while preserving the objects and their positions.”
  • “Remove the small object in the lower-left corner and extend the existing tabletop into that area.”

Make one clear set of changes at a time. Review the result before requesting another edit, especially when the image contains text, faces, or detailed product features. AI may also change details outside the area you intended, so check the whole image before using it.
