Present a design with Spotlight mode

Spotlight mode lets one person present a design while other collaborators follow their canvas view. Use it to walk teammates through a design without asking everyone to find the same area manually.

A session has one presenter and can have several followers. Followers see the presenter's canvas view, not activity outside the canvas.

Invite collaborators to follow

1. Sign in and open the shared design file.
2. Open your avatar menu and choose the option to invite others to follow your view.
3. Wait for collaborators to join. You can cancel the invitation while waiting.
4. When people join, the follower count confirms that they are following your view.

Move around the canvas to present the design. Followers can watch without taking control of your view.

Join a presentation

1. When an invitation appears in the top bar, choose Join.
2. If you miss the invitation, open the presenter's avatar menu and choose to follow them.
3. Check the following indicator at the top right to see whose view you are following.

You can also choose another collaborator's avatar to follow their view directly.

Stop presenting

As the presenter, use Stop in the top bar to end Spotlight mode.

Only one person presents in Spotlight mode at a time. If another collaborator starts a new session and confirms it, that person becomes the presenter instead.

Stop following

As a follower, you can leave the presenter's view by:

• Zooming in or out on the canvas.
• Opening the presenter's avatar menu and stopping following.
• Selecting a different collaborator's avatar and following that person's view.

Changing whom you follow does not end the original Spotlight session for the other participants.
