Search and Filter Layers

Layer search helps you find an object in a large design file without expanding every group and frame. Enter part of a layer's name, narrow the results by layer type, and jump directly to the matching object on the canvas.

Search by layer name

  1. Open the design file.
  2. Select the search field in the upper-left area of the editor.
  3. Enter a word or phrase from the layer name. Pixso displays matching layers on the current page.

Use a distinctive part of the name when many layers share a word such as “button” or “frame.”

Filter the results

Open the search filter to narrow the results by layer type. Enable Match case when the uppercase and lowercase letters in the name matter. The result count helps you see how many layers match the current keyword and filters.

Search the current page or all pages

Use the scope dropdown beneath the search field to switch between the current page and all pages in the file. Search all pages when you know the layer name but do not know which page contains it.

Use the up and down controls in the results to move from one matching layer to another. Pixso centers the matching object in the canvas view so you can locate it in context.

When you have found the object, exit search to return to the normal layer panel. For nested objects and multiple selections, see Choose Layers.
