Open Design System Management (DSM)
Design System Management (DSM) brings together the resources in a published library. Use it to review design assets and coordinate their names with the components used in development.
Open DSM
Start with a published library file. You can open DSM from any of these locations:
- The file-name dropdown in the editor: choose Design System Mode.
- The team's Resources area: choose Open in Design System.
- The library list in the editor: choose Open Design System.
Open DSM in design mode. Editing configuration requires edit permission.
Set aliases
Find a style, component, or variable in DSM and set its alias to associate the design resource with the terminology used in code. You do not need an alias when the design and implementation already use matching names.
Configure component mapping
Open Code Parsing to configure how component instances map to code components. A parser can associate a design component such as Button with a project component such as el-button, including its properties and content.
Use the English component parser reference for configuration fields and examples. The DSM developer guide shows the entry points and alias settings.
Use the mapping with D2C⁺
D2C⁺ requires an Enterprise Full-feature Seat or Dev Seat and a file in an enterprise space. Its component-library mapping is optional: you can generate code without configuring a mapping when you do not need to bind design components to a project library.
For the generation workflow and configuration setup, see the English D2C⁺ quick start.
