Layer Hierarchy
Relationship Between Parent Layer and Sibling Layers
A parent object contains other objects, including frame, component and combination.
A child object is the object included in the parent object.
The sibling objects are those included in the same parent object.
- In a frame which contains objects, the frame is the parent level, and the objects within it are the child level.
- The frame can not be the parent level without other objects included in it.
- If there are various objects included in the parent object, then the child objects included are sibling objects.
- All the frames, combinations and components can be either parent or child level.
Default Operation
When you're moving an object from the frame to a new location, Pixso will decide whether to set a new parent layer to it.
The relocation means taking out an object from its parent layer and nest it into another frame.
The default logic is:
- If the object < frame, Pixso will make the object be the child layer of the frame.
- If the object > frame, Pixso won't make the object be the child layer of the frame.
Bypass the Default Logic
You can bypass the default logic by following the steps below:
- When you're adding objects, press the Space key to prevent Pixso from resetting the parent layer.
- When you're removing objects out from the frame, press the Space key to keep it in the current parent layer.
