Styles

1. Styles in Pixso

Pixso contains styles below:

  • Color styles: Filling color and stroke color.
  • Text styles: Font, font size, row height and spacing.
  • Effect styles: Inner shadow, outside shadow, Gaussian blur and background blur.
  • Layout grid styles: Row, column and grid.

Every time you change the style properties, for instance, switch the text color from red to blue, Pixso will apply this change to all objects that use this style.

4. Manage and Share Style

4.1 View Styles

Local styles are these saved in the current file. When you select nothing on the canvas, you can access local styles from the right side panel or from the style selector. If you want to view other published styles, you can open the corresponding style selector.

1. From the right side panel

After creating styles in the file, you can view them on the right side panel, while you need to select nothing on the canvas at the very beginning. Then,

  • Click the blank space on the canvas.
  • Press Esc to unselect

Pixso groups all local styles by type: text, color, effect, layout grid.

2. From style selector

Click the style icon beside the target property to open the style selector. You can then view all usable styles of that property. The default sorting of styles is:

  • By alphabetical order of team names
  • By alphabetical order of file names
  • By the same order as how they are displayed on the right side panel

4.2 Manage Styles

If you want to change the style, you need to edit the style in the original file.

  • Open the right side panel and the style selector.
  • Hover your mouse on the target style, then select and right-click it to open the edit panel.

4.4 Delete Style

Select the style on the panel, right-click on it to delete. All the objects with this style will retain the current properties but remove the style.

4.5 Share Styles

If you want to use created styles in other files, you need to publish them to the team resource library. You can do this individually or publish them together with components.

4.6 Publish Style

1. Open the Component panel on the left side and click the team resource library icon. You can also use the shortcut keys:

  • macOS:⌥ Option+3
  • Windows:Alt+3

3. You’ll see a list of all components and styles. You can also check the progress of updates. If necessary, you can add description of changes.

4.7 Use Styles from the Team Library

When you enable the team resource library, anyone with the editor permission of the file can access these styles and components.

  • View all styles in the library using the style selector.
  • Use any styles shared with you.
  • Edit styles in the file that you have editor permission.
