Resource Library
1. Check and Apply Resource Library Update
When there are styles and components from the team resource library, Pixso will notify you about the updates of main components and styles.
When the library gets updated and published, Pixso will send you a notification in any file containing these styles and components.
Note: Pixso won't notify you when team components or styles get deleted. You can use those deleted components and instances as usual, while you'll receive no further updates about them.
1.1 Check Library Update
You need to check the library update first to choose which update you need to apply in your design file. You can choose to receive all updates or only a certain part of them.
Here is how to do it:
- Choose Update option in the pop-up window.
- On the next interface, the list of updated styles and components will be displayed. The type and description changes are also included.
- Click the Update button next to each item to apply updates individually.
- Click the Update button on the bottom right corner to apply all updates.
1.2 Close Update Notification
- If you don't want to apply the update, you can choose to ignore it.
- If you want to apply the update later, click the Library icon on the Component panel, then switch to the Update tab on the next screen to view and apply the update. The notification will be displayed there until you check or apply updates.
- Besides, every time you open a design file that contains updates, Pixso will prompt you in the bottom right corner or on the Component panel.
2. Manage Resource Library in File
Users who have the editor permission to the file can manage the resource library within.
To do it:
- Go to the Component panel in the left side.
- Click the Library icon.
- View the library list and details.
- Enable or disable the library within file.
Enable: The resource library will be pinned on the Component panel. And you can view it on the Component panel or the panel to replace instance.
Disable: Unable to use the library any more, while the previously used components and styles won't be affected.
3. Unpublish Resource Library
Unpublishing a resource library means users can not access or receive updates of it from the Component panel. Here is how to do it:
- Open the file that contains the library you want to unpublish.
- Go to the Component panel in the left side.
- Click Current file to view styles and components included.
- Click the Unpublish.
4. Replace Resource Library
Pixso supports replacing the resource library. Via this feature, you can replace the whole cloud library and the missing one.
Here is how to do it:
1. Click Manage library option on the Component panel.
2. Choose the file you want to replace the library for under the Resource used in current file tab.
3. View the used components and then click the Replace button in the bottom right corner.
4. On the next interface, you need to select the target file to replace resources. Pixso will match the component and style based on name, and the component with the same name can be replaced.
Note: You must have the viewer or above permission to file for this operation.
5. If multiple namesake components are matched, you'll see all the matched main components. Just choose one of them to replace. Please note that you can not close the current page during the process, or the replacement may fail.
