Use local fonts in Pixso

After installing the Pixso Font Assistant, you can use fonts saved in your device on Pixso.

  1. Download the Font Assistant from the Pixso download page.
  2. Double click to open the downloaded file and install it.
  3. After installation, click to launch it and make sure there is a process named "PixsoLocalFont".
  4. Create or select a text layer, click Text section on the right side bar.
  5. Switch to Local tab and you'll see the fonts and styles if everything goes well.

Install the font family and weights

The Font Assistant exposes fonts installed on your computer; it does not install the fonts used in a design. Install the required family and each required weight through your operating system, using font files you are licensed to use. Then refresh Pixso and select the text layer again.

A font is installed but not listed

  1. Check that PixsoLocalFont is running. Open Task Manager on Windows or Activity Monitor on macOS if necessary.
  2. Confirm that the font was installed for the current operating-system user and that the required weight is present.
  3. Restart the Font Assistant, then refresh the browser after confirming that the design is saved.
  4. Check the family and weight names shown by the operating system; a similar filename may belong to a different font.

Fonts when collaborating across devices

Each collaborator who needs to edit with a local font must have access to that font on their own computer. Share the font’s source or permitted installation instructions rather than redistributing its file without permission. After replacing a missing font, inspect line breaks, text widths and component layouts.
