Sharing, permissions and view settings
1. Collaborator Avatar
You can view collaborators that are active on the file, including anyone who is currently viewing or editing files.
Clicking on a user's avatar takes you into observer mode, which allows you to see their actions in real time. This applies to demonstrations and design reviews.
2. Demonstration
Click the demo icon to open the file in the presenter's view. This allows you to preview your design and interact with any prototypes you create.
3. View Settings
Adjust file view settings, including:
- Pixel preview
- Pixel grid
- Layout grid
- Multiplayer cursor
When you change these settings, they will only apply to the view of your current file.
4. Share
Click the Share button to open the share panel. You can manage collaborators who have access to the file. From the share panel, you can:
- Invite viewers or editors to join the file.
- Share the file with others via the link.
- Transfer the ownership of files.
- Adjust file permissions.
- Remove collaborators from the file.
5. Scale Settings
Pixso allows you to zoom in, zoom out, browse the canvas, adapt the selected content view, or scale the canvas to 100%.
Invite someone to a file
- Open the file and select Share.
- Add the collaborator using the available invitation method, or choose the intended link-sharing audience.
- Set viewing or editing access for the task. Review the audience before copying the link.
- Send the link to the collaborator. Ask them to open it with the account that received the invitation.
Anonymous access depends on the file’s link-sharing settings. Editing requires a signed-in account with the appropriate file access and product capabilities.
Team roles, file permissions and seats
A team role controls administration, such as member management. Project and file permissions determine which content a member can access or edit. A seat determines the product capabilities available to that member. Administrators should configure all three according to the member’s work.
When creating a project, choose whether team members can edit, view, or access it only by invitation. Check the selected setting before adding confidential content. File access may inherit permissions from its team or project.
A collaborator can view but cannot edit
- Confirm that the collaborator is signed in to the invited account.
- Check the file link and its sharing audience.
- Check the collaborator’s file permission and any permission inherited from the team or project.
- Ask the administrator to check the seat and the relevant product capability.
- After access is updated, reopen the file and verify the required operation.
If a member still has editing access after it is reduced at the file level, check whether a higher-level project or team grant remains in effect. For a large review, prepare the participants and permissions in advance; viewing access and simultaneous editing are separate requirements.
